The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at Raipur Institute of Technology, RaipurChhattisgarh is functioning from June 2019. The IQAC composition is as per the University Grant Commission (UGC) XII PLAN GUIDELINES FOR Establishment and Monitoring of the Internal Quality Assurance Cells (IQACs) in Colleges and National Assessment and Accreditation Council of India (NAAC).

Objectives

The broadly defined objectives of IQAC include (but are not limited to): To develop a mechanism to promote conscious, consistent and catalytic action plans to improve the academic and administrative performance of the institution.

To promote institutional quality enhancement and sustenance through the internalization of quality culture and institutionalization of the best practices.

IQAC EVOLVES MECHANISM & PROCEDURE

  • To establish a systematic process in academics and administration
  • To impart quality education to students that fosters employability, research and development
  • To satisfy the stakeholders by meeting their requirements.
  • To nurture the skills and talents of the budding engineers through training and development activities
  • To produce engineers of high quality and ethics to the society to meet the industrial needs and standards

Functions

Some of the functions expected of the IQAC are:

  • Development and application of quality benchmarks;
  • Setting parameters for various academic and administrative activities of the institution;
  • Collection and analysis of feedback from all the stakeholders on quality-related institutional processes;
  • Organization of intra- and inter-institutional workshops and seminars on quality- related themes and promotion of quality circles;
  • Documentation of various programmes/activities leading to quality improvement;
  • Acting as a nodal agency of the institution for coordinating quality-related activities, including adoption and dissemination of the best practices;
  • Periodical conduct of Academic and Administrative Audits along with their follow-up activities; and
  • Preparation and submission of the Annual Quality Assurance Report (AQAR) as per the guidelines and parameters of NAAC.
